Chinese Cheap R/C Parts Empty Chinese Cheap R/C Parts

I notice a lot of folks cramming R/C into the most unlikely airframes, in view of the need for ultra small/ultra light servos and the like, you might like to have a look here....

http://bidproduct.com/part/Menu_menu_1.html

If you haven't seen them before they are a Chinese outfit, and some of their products are cheap and cheerful, but I have been using their mini servos for quite a while, and I've always found them reliable enough. I wouldn't reccomend them for a 200mph jet, or a .60 powered model, but where weight and size are crucial they can solve the problem.

Bear in mind though, I do NOT guarantee anything, or accept ANY responsibility, but IMO they are worth a look.

They accept PayPal & their shipping costs (certainly to the UK) are cheap & fast.

One example, not the smallest they do, and look at the price!

I have bought and used these servos before and I agree with Wilf.

Dave, Since the vast majority of modelling items these days are made in China, even if not marked as such, this might be difficult to achieve, you would have to give up nearly all electric flight for a start!

I myself tend to steer away from Chinese, Taiwanese, Singapore etc. Parts and general items due to lack of quality. I have nothing against those places or people who live there it's just quality is a big deal to me.

Sometimes the dollar get's the better of me and yes I do purchase foreign items from time to time. Honestly it is near impossible to find things not made entirely in another foreign country or at least assembled there.

When I say foreign, I am implying foreign to my location.

If Wilf says they hold up well then I guess it's worth a second look as he has first hand experience.

Dave I garauntee that at least 80% of these micro servos come from China anyway.
Just beacause they are made

My Futaba radio gear is made in Taiwan (ROC) rather than in China (DPRC). If you think they are the same, think again.

I'd sooner walk rather than drive a car made in the DPRC. Don't be fooled by the "D" in DPRC; it's FAR from democratic.

My first experience with the qualify of DPRC goods was with my "foamie" EP RC planes. Simply put that experience now has me builg from balsa once again further sing nitro fuel and Cox engines.

But I'm starting rant that I never intended. If price is all that important to you, buy Chinese and see what happens as a result. You might just be surprized how many ggods with American names like Colegate toothpaste are now made in the DPRC. Ditto light bulb and lots of other "American" products.

Wilf: And you ask why American jobs are disappearing at an alarming rate? I know, do you?

I will say these servos work very well.

I hate to send money off to the chinese, but a $2 versus a $20 servo that is essentially the same thing, I just cannot do. Don't have the funds.

You CANNOT avoid made in china, try as you might,,it wont happen.

Bought a ebay NIB Futaba 3PK off road radio,,guess what?,,Made in China. An exact copy so very well done that even the steering wheel tension was the same (checked with a pull gauge). What identified it as being made in China??,,the serial number went the wrong way and the plastic molding inside the radio gave it away. Everything other than those two items was indentical to a REAL Futaba. I converted it over to 2.4 with the module pieces and recievers and it worked fine,,still does to this day.

Back to the servos,,

I have used those Blue servos with good sucess,,still have a couple left over for another porject.

Ah Ha!

Next you'll buy Chinese automobiles. And then.......................

Do you realize the Chinese are now copying Japanese products as in Pv's example? (no regard for patents or copywrite laws in China.) What's more the US is deeply in debt to China.

Post  Amper Fri Dec 23, 2011 3:17 pm

To the Topic :

I Personally use mainly stuff bought directly in china, to bee exact at hobbyking.com

The Reason is, that chineese RC parts are actually at least as good, as the few "local" brands there are. They actually learned, over the last few years, that they can make much, much more money with high quality products, than with cheap stuff. and if you go to old companys like for example graupner here in germany, they really go lower and lower in quality or sell items from china under a different label.

one example: Brushless motor by pichler : 25€
EXACTLY the same from hobbyking : 4€

According to my store credit i spent over 600€ at HK alone and i never had anything from china that didnt work properly, failed or was lower quality than expencive parts.

The only difference is the label and thats something i dont want to pay for, i simply cut out the middle man, they earn by faar to much for what they are doing.

The only ones i support are the local shops in my area because i like the people there, but a big company that gets 3/4 of the money i pay ? i can live without that.

Guys previously said.
You cannot not buy chinese stuff in these times!
It is simply impossible or half the part on your would be missing I et ou would not have a cellphone etc. IMO without cheaper Chinese manufacture and teqnigues Thai hobby woul not be possible for many people.if I want a 5g servo I can buy a British branded
Made in china one or a Chinese branded one for 1/3 of the price. I get 1s lipos from
China ad are just as good if not better than the British Orr American equivalent .
An only cost 99p!
But honestly Thai is getting too far into politics.
It is locked until WE ALL get a chance to calm down.
