Re: Model Airplane News Aug 1959
I have thought many times on my birth month and year ---news papers, magazines, and how info back then relates to my experiences and life
All my specialty engines from Bernie are #55 for my birth year
I guess it would be cool to try and find all the magazines, of the various hobbies and passions I have, and see what the thinking was in July of 55
BUT the one time I did a half assed search---- I was over whelmed by the asking price of a lot of that stuff
I do have three 1980s computer magazines that I kept, and every 10 years or so it is interesting to read about the state of the art back then
I have only one issue of an old Play Boy with a 54 year old Nancy Sinatra
As a kid I do not remember my parents having ANY subscription other than the Local Newspaper
We kids (6) read a truck load of comics
Mom discarding all our comics is another of life tragedies... between all of us, I bet we had every DC and Marvel first edition and then the entire series of some one or more superheros....
