China scam on eBay Empty Re: China scam on eBay

Well, someone bought the Mercedes car on only one bid. Both listings are from new sellers with "o" transactions. Neither have any additional items listed. No experience, no history, prices way below market value, yeah it smells a little fishey for sure. Only thing you can do is sit back and wait for buyer feedback to see if in fact they ship and the item is received in good condition & reasonable time. If it's too good to be true, it probably is.( #fakeoffer)
Good catch Eric, thanks for the warning.

I'll go with the benefit of the doubt. All buyers and sellers start with no transactions. The location is odd but plausible. There is little reason these toys did not end up overseas, at least in small numbers.

The biggest flag I see is no pictures

The location is enough to make me think twice.

I would consider a reverse image search and see if the images are "original" or ripped from somewhere. Oh that's right no images.

In the end if a transaction is "funny" for some reason I generally back off it.

Recently on another forum were references to a large competition stunt model called a Strega for $15.85...normally a $150 model

a few bit...no soap.. most got money back from E-bay buyer protection...

I have actually gotten a few "too good to be true: positive buys

One---In my case, a full carburetor, three primer bulbs, two felt clunks, gasket set, fuel line set complete, and spark plug, for an Echo professional string trimmer....for $15+/- on the bay

Many many other sources for same item are in the $45 to $90 range

Really!!!!!! $15 dollars... must be a scam... 2 sources...one Hong Kong and one Las Angeles...

I ordered from the LA source...got shipping notification...big bag arrived.. all there... every thing about the carb and numbers matched the factory carb... and it worked....

I say with e-bay buyer protection...screw it ...take the chance
