Which engine displacement for the next Traveling Engine you would like to see?
Poll: Next Traveling Engine displacement size.

I know the TE .010 is still in its beginnings of making the rounds. Looking to see what the Traveling Engine 3 displacement size would be for the next run.
Since we already have .010 covered it wont be in the pole. .049/.051 will be grouped together. .074 is kinda of a heavy turd and not much in the way of power so we are left with .15, .09, .049/.051, and .020.
Please select the displacement size Cox engine you would like to see for the next Traveling Engine. Once a displacement size is chosen then a choice of engines representing that displacement will be set up for another poll. This poll will run for 10 days.

I would say Medallion. Probably the easiest to start and run. Can use about any tank with it. Not really picky on fuel. Easier to mount than a Sportsman or Olympic. And it's a Cox .15. What more do you need?

Can't discriminate. We are only a few days in on the poll. I guess it will be a surprise on what engines will be available to choose from in another poll within the winning displacement size.

I seem to be the only one who voted .049/.051 so far.
I know the .049 engines are very common, and as such, nothing special for most. On the other hand, many of us have suitable planes already built for them, and also spare parts to repair and service it along the way should something happen to it. Most of us would also not be so afraid to fly it either, since the parts are available.
But that is just my opinion, and I probably would not take part to the program anytime soon anyway, as I need to practice my pilot skills a bit more first

There are spare parts and support that comes with the engine Kari but you do have a point . The only Cox engine in .15 size i have or had are Sportsman and Medallion , never ran the Medallion , sports man is a sweetheart to run . You know with Jason having the most engines on the forum i would say , there is no telling what he will come up with

I can’t speak for Jason, but I assume it wouldn’t be offered if he was at all worried about the engine.
That said, a Conquest would really cut down on those who intend to fly the TE as it’s really only designed to do one thing.

Postage is the cost of participation. If it is .15 not sure if an engine test stand would ship with it due to size. Its up for debate. If it's needed then it would be a minimal one that I could mill out of aluminum.
It's nice to have a case with all the support materials and spares. It does increase the package size which in turn increases the postage.

It was a tough vote for me, but I selected .020. I figured the TD .020 is small, light, easier to ship. The Pee Wee can be a real pain to make run consistently. I'd be glad to run a traveling .15 but figure that few people are prepared to actually fly one. I'll be signing up regardless!

I'll be testing Pee Wees for my Push-UP. It might be nice to have a new one to compare to. Sorry to hear that they are a pain. They were not a problem with my first Push-UP.

Looks like .15 displacement squeaked by. I will be posting another poll with 4 Cox .15 engines to pick from. You wont be disappointed.
