Think it was Wen Mac. Back in the 80's, Midwest marketed a nice-size R/C kit (.40) that I wish I'd bought. A very cool jet indeed!

One of the Marks would know for sure. I remember seeing them on ebay some months ago but never bid on one, now I wish I had.
Yes, 1940's design and tested at Patuxent River where I was stationed, but I didn't see it until at Jacksonville NAS in the mid 50's. Phased out in 1959 I think.
Known as the "Gutless Cutlass" it topped out around 600+ MPH, but on full burners it would take-off straight up.

yep, it was Wen-Mac (pre Testors) late fifties, manufactured for 2-3 years, had throttle control.
