the new glow head does look rather suspect.

I will see how bad the tank really is once it gets to me.

Hopefully none of the internals are missing. If anything it will make a good runner.

These was a guy who sold Stoneway Cox products that use to refinish old Cox engines like RR1. Ray Stone I believe. Made some nice engines all hand done.

Hi Dan,
Stoneway Group was Leo Squiers name for his company, he was the guy who built the custom engines and redid the anodizing. Unfourtunitly I think he's got some health issues and is not very active in the hobby, I see on the 049 collectors group his email is bouncing.

I was emailing him last year,
He is now somewhat better but not taking much new stuff on as he is playing catch up with orders etc.
Re: COX RR-1 Going cheap ending soon.
I got the RR1 today. The tank is rough. Maybe it can be re anodized. There is also something going on inside the crank case. Looks like something was rubbing on the inside. I'll get a close up pic of it tomorrow.

Problem on ebay is you get what you pay for. There is no parts base for this engine. Only mass production drum rotor Cox made. It is [RR1] nicest looking engine they made with the Olympic .15. Space Hopper was also up there. I believe someware you can find a place to anadize the tank. hope inards can be restored.
