Seriously, that's a beautiful engine. The backplate looks brand new. What piston/cylinder is it?

It has a 2 bypass, no boost cylinder. I'm not sure if this series came that way or not. Most Golden's I have seen were single bypass. Mark B. may know and answer if he sees this post.

no, the stepped cylinder is from the early seventies, you need a early babe bee single port cylinder. Thats pretty neat you have one still in package, nice collectable.

oh yes, Mark is right! You need to swap that cylinder! Either dig in your parts for a thin #2 (may not have a # on it) single bypass, SPI cylinder or post a wanted ad on here for one or buy a vintage Babe Bee from eBay and jack the cylinder or buy this http://www.ebay.com/itm/COX-049-WEN-MAC-OK-CUB-AIRPLANE-ENGINE-HUGE-PARTS-LOT-PROPS-TANKS-PUMP-TOOLS-/190628118782 and just take the thin cylinder off that crankcase in the back and sell off all the parts. There's a seat for you dune buggy! You'll probably make money, glow head clips sell for $5+, thin neck crankcase assemblies sell for $5+ ea. and so on.

I can't see through that pack very clearly Joe but on mine which I think is the same as we are talking about
the first two fins on the glow are the same diameter the third is slightly smaller and the top is as
usual ie smallest.

I copied the following from Warrens Wkipedia Cox page
1.#302 Pre 1955 Standard Head - Hemispherical shape - Low Compression - Smaller dia. threads - used on Space Bug, Thermal Hopper, Space Bug Jnr and Strato Bug Only.[21]
2.#302-1 Post 1955 Standard Head - Hemispherical shape - Low Compression - Larger dia. threads - used on all engines produced post 1955 until the #325 head was produced in 1979.[22]
3.#325 Standard Head - Hemispherical shape - Low Compression - Larger dia. threads - used on all post 1956 engines except Tee Dees, QZ, Killer Bees, Venom and Texaco. Replaced 302-1 head in 1979.
I was hoping Mark, Matt or Bernie would be able to clarify.

How about the spinner. I thought the "pink" Golden Bees had the earlier spinner that does not have the flange type base. The engine looks really clean. Very nice regardless of what you do with it.
