Ps:the only rubber muffler I’m familiar with is the one Roddie made out of a bicycle inner tube.

Iceberg: the PM feature (private message) is activated by clicking on the little sillioute of a body with PM on it, located in the bottom avatar section of the person you want to message to.
Enter the PM function is like using e mail. Hope that helps!

I would query the listing, if Bernie's listening in.  The ad on Cox International's website describes the muffler as fitting a wide range of engines, but in reality I would suggest that it is only really recommended for engines without SPI.  SPI equipped engines are not suitable for use with a muffler such as this as they ingest too much spent exhaust gas.  Sure, they would still run (albeit at lower power), and I have no evidence to back up my claim, but there's enough anecdotal evidence to say that this is the case.

On another note, I was helped by a member here some years ago to complete my R/C Bee, which was also missing the rubber ring.  I'm pretty sure it was the only model engine factory fitted with this muffler.

Rod, the kit comes with a non-SPI cylinder, and if the entire kit is installed, it should be ok, and should fit even on a Tee Dee, especially since there seems to be a spacer for the Tee Dee venturi.

You are correct, of course, that if the muffler alone was fitted on an SPI engine, it would cause trouble. Then again, with the rubber ring removed, this muffler-throttle would work as a throttle even with an SPI, right? But it wouldn’t do a lot of ”muffling” in that case

The muffler was also sold separately, I think I have one NIB somewhere. I think it too came with the venturi spacer for Tee Dee
