Here's one that is available on the auction site. Sure was enticing until the following:
All Original. Vintage Cox Thimble Drome Buick Riviera Gas Engine Powered Toy Car Never Run!!! No Broken or cracked areas. The engine looks to have never been run.
My concern is "All Original."
Did the Buick Riviera come molded in blue. I'm thinking yes. What is for sale isn't original but sprayed ivory cream or what ever?
What is the opinion here? Another Buyer Beware auction. Darn.

I loved that car, pampered it for years then sold it to a Navy buddy of mine. Down hill from there, he (they) treated it like a ....car.
Five dirty kids crammed into the back seat on that beautiful blue and creme leather upholstery and a wife, cigarette dangling out out her mouth driving to the mall. Cringe. Ah, it's their car now. Wish I had the space to just store it away. That was years ago, probably gracing some junk yard now bringing some class to an otherwise group of also rans.

So Cox made the 1964 and 1965 Buick Riviera? Must have been costly with production models of the Buick a year later.

I wouldn't think so Doc. Looks like they planned for it. Move the headlights, re-route some wires and a new simple grill and your there. Even simpler for Cox, cast a new grill and voila, a '65.
Beautiful car when properly photographed. Clam shell covers on the headlights split and rotated back into the fender

Hi Doc,
Starting to fix up that old rumpled 65 Riviera pictured above on left. Hope to make a good one out of the two and a runner from the left overs.
One frame is good, model with stripe the other, three of the four frame points are bad. Going to try to use your repair method to fix it. I used Simple Green to remove the "chrome" and paint from the front grill assembly from the bad one to use on the good one. I just masked it off and hit it again with Krylon aluminum. Still have to remove the tape.
Know where I can find a steering wheel? Found a dash in the "bad" one and the interior, but no steering wheel.

I know what your thinking Jason.
Looks to be about an inch and a quarter. Pin end that goes into a hole in the dash.

Here is what I have so far. I am assuming a 2mm offset to the base. Maybe its less. Not sure I can print the fine details on the arms. They would be pretty thin.

I printed 2. One right side up and the other upside down. Support material can be sometimes difficult to remove. The right side up one is better.

I had the wrong diameter. These are 1 1/4” in diameter. I also thinned the wheel down and widened the center a bit.
