Local Hobby Shop
Been away camping for a few days and explored a relatively unfamiliar town while my wife tackled some riding trails with some friends from her cycling club.
I noticed a small store advertising hobby & pet supplies which had a whole wall of DuBro accessories, so I thought I'd wander in once he opened up today and talk to the owner. He was friendly and eager to engage in discussion about the state of the hobby. He didn't have much control line stuff and very few balsa kits. Mainly foam RTFs, drones and rock-crawlers. The DuBro stuff hadn't shifted for a long time- he only knew of one local R/C club member who still built balsa models, mainly scratch built. He knew of 3-4 local guys who had re-started flying C/L, but suggested that they pretty much kept to themselves and didn't want the authorities to know as they had no "approved" flying field.
Of coarse, as I felt more comfortable chatting, I asked the question we all do, "Do you have any old stock out the back, maybe some Cox items?" "I did have, but some guy came in recently and took the lot." If the timing was different, I would have been that guy. No Enya parts (glow plugs) but a few OS screws, gaskets and glow plugs. He did happen to have a couple of Norvell glow heads, which I thought about, but passed.
The only aero engine he has was a large ASP 4 stroke. It had been in the cabinet so long the box was badly faded.
So, no amazing discoveries. I was hoping for a NIB PT-19 Wouldn't that be nice? I kind of suspect that on my next visit, he'll either be gone or just selling pet items. (not of the O.S. Pet type )

Re: Local Hobby Shop
Oh man.. I'm sure that you're curious about what was in that "lot".. but knowing what was there, probably would've made you feel even worse for missing-out on it. It might be worth giving the shop-owner your contact-info., in the event that he takes-in some Cox items on consignment. You never know...
