Re: Here's One of My homemade Robots.
Hey Mark, That's a very neat/cool robot! I'm not sure how to comment. It's "neat".. and it's "cool".. Those would be favorable comments from my generation. I was born in 1960.
LUXAIRE? Luxaire you say?
Were you located near Elyria Ohio? I grew up in a home heated by a Luxaire furnace! Grew up to work in the HVAC business working for a couple of wholesale Michigan distributor’s of the Luxaire brand, before and after they got bought out by York. I had a small collection of the chrome Luxaire badges of different vintages, a whole bunch of baseball caps, which recently got recycled because the foam liners were turning into dust. I do have a few remaining “Treasures” I didn’t participate in the “hot wheels” show and tell because mine are all boxed up in storage, but I Did dig out few boxes to find these:
And these:
Hey you did a great job on the Robot! Control box, sheet metal screws, heating coil element, molly bolt, actuator arm, fun things to do with left over parts!

Very interesting and neat. You did a great job on it. It is nice to see what other members also like to do besides playing with these little toy engines....

Just goes to show what you get when you combine excellent building skills with a great imagination.
