Nobody is going to pay $450.00 for that plane and then try to fly it anyway. So, at this point, what difference does it make?-- HRC

Yes, more than I would pay or fly too, and I question the paint scheme.
But I guess my point was high-fiving the effort it took to glue all those panels in place and sand them down to a smooth surface.

Re: The P-38 Lightning Wow factor
In my earlier control line days, I built and flew some of these conversions. Not knowing what I know now made for some very entertaining flights to those spectators on the side. Generally, they fly like complete turds. The fact that this person sheeted the model now makes it a very overweight but aerodynamic turd. While I'm a fan of OK engines, not for their power but for their weight and design, this plane especially wouldn't of been receiving them. The P-38 offers very little wing area not too mention the long tail moment. This is where the Enya .09's or the OS Max-S .10's would suit the model better. While the Guillow kits offer a terrific scale look, they're just not designed to withstand the rigors of control line use. In order to do so, your ditching the majority of the model which at that point you might as well scratchbuild. I have seen some of the Guillow kits converted to r/c using electric motors and I will say they were most impressive. The consistent power of electrics not too mention the accessories needed, ( Speed controller, batteries) made the planes perform and balance quite well.
