A while ago, I posted details of the AM10 and Surfer_Kris replied with this picture

Again, more variations. These are the later builds and one of these has a glow head. As Surfer_Kris mentioned the glow version is not a very good runner. I have seen this before with quite a few diesel to glow conversions where just the head has been swapped. The venturi on a diesel is often a tad smaller than a glows requirements.

I was also puzzled because, at the time, I had the later AM15 with the RC venturi but as the heads were no longer coloured - I wondered how you tell the AM10 and 15 apart,

It is obvious if you have the 15

The silencer is a little restrictive and the 15 runs quite hot with perfomance diesel fuel.

Brings back memories. In 1958 I purchased my first "Diesel" engine, a Frog 150. Two years later an AM 15 with a blue head which seemed a better engine than the Frog. Later, I had a Sabre 2.5cc which was the fore runner of Australian "Taipan" engines. Memories!!! All those are gone now replaced with about 30 COX engines!

The muffler on the Premier A-M 1.5cc fits perfectly on a Kingcat 1.5cc.

The fin spacing looked subtly different between the .10 and the .15...

Neato header pipes on the Kingcat.
