TD 51 RC Carb Installation?

TD 51 RC Carb Installation?
I have searched for instructions on correct way to install a RC Carburetor on a TD .051. I am told there is a way that doesn't involve disassembling the engine?

Re: TD 51 RC Carb Installation?
If you remove both the needle holder and the throttle barrel from the carb I think it is possible to mount it in stead of the venturi while keeping the cylinder in place. But if you have the TD .05RC muffler on the engine, you will have to remove the cylinder and muffler first.

Re: TD 51 RC Carb Installation?
The Needle Valve Bodu & Venturi seems too large to allow unscrewing from the carburetor body. Another owner told me that would need to remove the cylinder to allow removing the stock carburetor and install the RC carburetor. He mentioned opening the back and removing the piston first. I am wondering if there are detailed instructions for doing this without destroying the engine.

The stock carb can be removed by simply unscrewing the venturi. The RC carb mounts without the removal of the cylinder if you remove first the throttle arm and the needle valve. Then you can screw the carb body in with the cylinder still in place. Done that multiple times..
Of course if - as Kris wrote - you have a muffler on the cylinder then you need to remove that first.
