I have a bunch of these..

Bladder (pressure) protective sheath Bladde10

Would they be suitable/useful for what I specified in the topic's title? Some modelers use clear/polycarbonate tubes (the type used for fluorescent lighting-tube/shatter-protection) to protect against bursts in the pit/mechanic's area.

These sheaths would offer some protection against abrasion only.. but could also offer an alternate anchoring point for the bladder.

The ones I have were recycled (by me) from my employer. We use rigging-pins for various applications and they're shipped to us (boxed-loosely) from the vendor with these webbed-sheaths around the pins. Once the pins are installed, the protective sheaths are discarded. These came from pins having a 5mm (approx. 3/16") diameter.. but as you can see; they will encapsulate the diameter of a golf-ball.

As I mentioned.. the webbed-tube design can secure the "sheath" to the model.. without physically impacting the bladder. The sheath is its' "nest".. if you choose to look at the bladder as an egg.

I'm willing to part with some of what I have.. if any of you are interested. PM me..
