VT-11 Hungarian mini diesels
Hello all I have a new VT-11 (the one on the left with the short needle valve) and it differs from my VT-11 I've already had. Crank case is shinier on the one the the right (the one I've already had) and the spray bar is different. I dont know if one has been customized or if there is different models from different years. Also the box and paper work for the one I just recieved is supposedly original. Can anybody help with any info? Please and thanks!!!

Re: VT-11 Hungarian mini diesels
According to modelenginenews.org:
"Apart from the pressed-in backplate, the most unusual feature of this engine is the needle valve assembly. A surface-jet set-up is used, with a fuel supply jet screwing into the intake tube from the left side and an internally-threaded needle carrier screwing in from the right. Hence, the needle itself represents the sole impediment to the passage of gas through the tiny induction tube. The actual needle is a ridiculously vulnerable component made of a length of 1 mm diameter wire which is externally threaded at the needle end. The example illustrated in the Aeromodeller article is extremely long, greatly adding to its vulnerability. The one on my own illustrated example has been drastically cut back by a previous owner."
Needle could be replaced by another one. I didn't notice any shine from the photographs, but perhaps polished a little.

Re: VT-11 Hungarian mini diesels
Thanks I do believe I have an original. The needle valve is most definitely vulnerable. That's first thing I noticed. Thankfully my new one has a shorter needle valve probably shortened by someone else years back. Thanks for the help!
