Yes...yet ANOTHER model airplane engine test.
You've been forewarned, so no whining allowed!

The spoils of last week's "Engine Sniping", this little Anderson Royal Spitfire (MAN, I love that name!) arrived yesterday, and went straight from the mail box to it's waiting test stand.

Nice steady run Kim , i like the look of his engines , have a couple one in particular i tried to get run a few times with no pleasure . Its one with the throttle adjust from carb and exh. flap . Its still mounted on a block of wood in my room here , the last time it appeared to have to much comp. and would backfire through the ehx. and kick back, this was after i wired the flaps open LOL Huh... And 11,600 isnt bad on that bid a prop 6X4 woodie .

Thanks Eric !!!

Yeah, this may end up being my favorite for the Q-Tee.  When I had it running in the shop, it's rich setting made it sound almost like a 4-stoke, and it seemed to make enough thrust to allow the Q-Tee to just "putter-bug" around the field.

I've been stalking a throttled Spitfire, but it's got some considerable damage, and the guy is sticking with his BIN price...so I may not bite on that one.

I'd like to acquire some 6-3 wood props (just like their looks), and have come up shy so far.  I missed a swap meet last Saturday simply because I stayed up too late, watching "Alfred Hitchcock Presents" !!!  Lazy Dummy!!!!

The Breezy Hill Flyers are meeting tonight, and one of our members is a prop carver, so there may be some whittlin' going on soon...might give me an excuse to buy a set of those fancy German carving knives!!!!
