cox little toni cosmic wind

i just bought a cox little toni cosmic wind off of ebay in pretty nice condition and the canopy is yellowing and getting brittle and the landing gear is missing but otherwise in perfect shape.any ideas where i can purchase these spare parts?

Suspect eBay would be the most likely place to find parts. Check often.

Another good place to check would be Gas Toy Collectors on facebook. You can place a want ad there for free.

yeah i searched eBay i am defiantly going to put a ad up for the parts. Boeing is my favorite airplane company no one makes planes like they do and i am a student pilot so that's how i acquired the username thanks for the help by the way

I troll eBay for lots of stuff and as the saying goes the devil is in the detail but in eBays case less is better. Keep the search words to as little as possible
For example “Wanted undercarriage for Cox litl Toni cosmic wind plane” might return what you want but not if someone has a set listed as Cox wheels or Cox landing gear.
If I was looking for what you are this is how I would hunt for it.
On Ebay I’d first enter Cox Litl Toni. Once the search results come up hit “save search”.
Now every new listing that has that wording will come up in your future emails.
If you get thousands of results narrow the search perimeter down to “Toys and Hobbies” or “Radio control and Control line” before you save the search. You get the idea.
Then repeat this step for all headings you think might be used. For example
Cox Litl Tony
Cox Little Toni
Cox Little Tony
Cox Cosmic Wind
Cox Undercarriage
Cox Landing gear
Cox undercart
Cox canopy
Cosmic wind canopy
Even something like this can yield results
Cox Kosmic Wind
Several times I have found what I’m looking for using thimbledrone when the correct spelling is thimbledrome. Spelling mistakes are common and also reduce the competition lol!

The searches are easy to cancel when you have found what you are looking for.
I had been looking for yellow front wheels for a Cox Shrike for about a year and one of the searches I had going was “Cox Wheels”. Most of the results were Cox slot car wheels but perseverance paid off and up popped a set of yellow front wheels with axle and circlips new in the box. Listed under Cox Wheels.
The bigger the net the more fish you get.

thanks! i will get to work on it. little while ago i completely blew the crankshaft on my 0.49 babe bee and was looking at glow heads and i found the exact part i needed ( 0.49 crankcase assembly with hexnut) weird how ebay sorts things will get to work on it asap thanks for the help

remember, its the same plane as the Testors version, Testors designed it, sold it to Tyco, who then sold it to Cox.

Thanks Davenz13 thats some new stuff on me with the search , I sold and purchased on there for a few years / it is a tricky weird place to go sometimes ands the people are either nice or just plane mean LOL I have bought several things from Larry , he's a real nice guy to deal with and gives freebies when he can .
