Ok had to use a heat gun and some after run oil to get engine in seized. I have three questions that I hope you guys can help with. 1- this engine doesn't seem to have a head gasket. Does it require one? 2 - is it worth finding a ven./ NVA from a red head or just wiring the throttle open? 3 - approx plane size for stunt/fun fly ? Thank you in advance

It will most likely have a fibre ring type gasket. Check it's not stuck to the head. If not, it needs one.

The case for the C/L and R/C versions has a different intake. The C/L Red Head has a cast-in venturi designed to take an NVA. The R/C version has no venturi, with the housing cut shorter and bored out to accept the carb. The only way you could do away with the carb would be to machine up a venturi and adapt an NVA, or wire the throttle open as you suggest. This adds a little more weight.
