Anyone know the manufacturer on these? Fits an 049.

That looks like the G-Mark .061 muffler. It fits Cox .049? The G-Mark cylinder is quite a bit bigger.

That's what I thought too! But it does fit the 049 - sort of an oddball.

I have one G-mark .030 and one G-Mark .061 which I purchased in 1981 and 1982.
What you have is the muffler for the G-Mark .030 engine.

Wish I had the money back then to get at least one engine each of all the G-Mark engines.
You could get two Cox engines (plus change) for one G-Mark engine.

That's curious, my G-Mark .03 mufflers don't zigzag like that and won't fit even thin wall .049 cylinders. The engine pictured above is the .061.

A little update on this: It turns out the Muffler is from a G-Mark .061. The engine it came off of is a new Cox 049 but it was acquired in a group of parts and I didn't look closely enough at the cylinder. The prior owner made a small ring that essentially extended one of the fins to correctly align with the ID on the muffler housing.

I can also confirm it is not a G-Mark .03 muffler as there was one of those in the parts lot and it is much smaller as noted by some earlier in the thread.

Someone on ebay is selling a muffler for the Enya .049 which almost fits a #1 Cox cylinder perfectly. With a little of both sides it does fit perfectly top and bottom.

1. This muffler will NOT work with any front rotary engine like a TD or Medallion.
2. This muffler will not properly seal with a thick walled cylinder or an older thin walled cylinder without further modification to the cylinder sealing area on the muffler.
3. The #1 cylinder i was using was a "ground" cylinder for use with a throttle sleeve. So the cylinder diameter on the portion below the fins was a few thousandths of an inch smaller than the standard #1 cylinder.
   As soon as i am able to take photos and post them i will post a modification to the Enya .049 muffler to make it fit the ground cylinders.
   After my quick modification i was able to seal the muffler tightly around #1 and #3 ground Cylinders.
   I hope to run the engine tomorrow, (a babe bee).
