Interesting contraption.  I quess if you need a little extra nose weight it might do the job.   lol!

Old engine rod: those special mufflers are worth up to $50.00 here. I have seen it on eBay. Crazy to pay that much. The first engine is worth the muffler and the cylinder, the second, probably the same. Sure isn’t a twin-engine. You can see the needle for the second engine in the crankcase for the 1st. Who are they kidding? Mad Sad

Well, they're not actually kidding anyone if you read the description.  They're up front with the fact that the rear cylinder is a dummy.  With the backplate and reed holder sandwiched between the two crankcases, there's probably no reason why it wouldn't run fine as a single.  Someone obviously just wanted the look of a twin.  As I said, a bit of extra weight for no practical gain.  Huh...

Well, yes, it says there that it is a simulation of "twin cylinder" then. Now, how is it supposed to be attached to a model? Would it be necessary to make a bench or extra socket?
?? .... is to take into account, since it would be necessary to think about how to hold it. Huh... What?

Okay, now I gotta make one and fly it.  I don't know why the person drilled all the way through the front crankcase.  Seems like the standard screws to an 8cc tank might go through the rear case and hold the two cases together.

Yes, interesting. As well, the front screws are not screwed in all the way either.

You're not the only one Mark. I've been thinking about which crankcase I can sacrifice Eyebrows It will put to good use a worn out cylinder and burned out head. I think the rear case may be reversed, with the nose section of the case machined into an air intake. As you say, you should just need to drill the rear case holes all the way through and use the appropriate size screws to join the two together.

Rod.
