Re: Moteur Graupner
I really like the HB engine line. High quality engines. I run a .40 on a Italian high wing r/c plane. The .40 I own is the non PDP version but it runs well and will more than likely outlast me.

Bonjour Ken Cook,
Je vais voir, car je connais mal cette marque de moteurs, car je suis plutôt OS, en H.B, je possède le 12, 15, 20, 25, 50 et le 61

Yes, these are very nice engines. The .12 is not the most powerful though, and their .15 engine has the same weight while being able to pull an 8x4 prop.
The firewall mount is a nice feature that saves a some weight too.
Some people have added a fuel pressure fitting to the muffler, but I have never seen the need for it, the Perry carbs have a very good fuel draw as it is.
Short bench-run of the HB .12 here:

Kris that .12 certainly seems happy. MY HB .40 is a Dykes ringed engine and I always wondered what the other variants were. In a recent post you mentioned the Webra .12 speedy. I happen to own that Webra and it's somewhat of a rarity. I think the price scared away most but it too offers good performance for a .12.

Yes, the webra .12 engines were quite pricy at the time I have only been able to find a few of them much later. With the stock muffler, which looks a bit like the Cox Conquest muffler, they make for nice sports engines.
They need a fairly small prop to run well on the pipe. I've been getting close to 22000rpm on the APC 6.3x4 prop and 10% nitro. I've also found a half-built "Piranha" the plane that Webra designed around the engine, but I haven't gotten around to finishing it yet....
