Where to mount the fuel tank?
Where should and how should I mount the fuel tank with this stand?

Re: Where to mount the fuel tank?
Well,
That's a lot nicer than the 1oz Sullivan and chunk of oak that I use. Your best bet would be to drill a couple holes or use existing ones and fabricate a cradle to hold the tank. Just head on down to your local Hardware or home store and the skies the limit!

Centerline with the engine?
Standing up?
Laying down?
Best way to cushion the tank?

I see now,
Ok like mentioned earlier inline with the NV is optimum on TD's but, it can be done higher or lower just trickier to start although still very doable.
The tank is designed to lay down so I would use it that way, if direct bolt a cradle to the test stand then just lay it on some foam inside the cradle. You could also velcro it to to the side and the velcro will act like a cushion.
I velcro mine to the wood block and never had any foaming issues.
