Re: Can you identify this engine?
a) An Enya 06/08/10 glow that has been retro converted to diesel-ie not a factory job-the head shape is wrong for it to be the factory diesel
b) someone playing silly buggers with a 1/4-32 thread comp screw in the glowplug hole of a glow version of the above....

Re: Can you identify this engine?
Your no fun Chris.
It is an Enya .10 Series #3 diesel-ized by Gasuden Koken from Japan.
He does may "special" tuning on the Enya .049 / .06 / .08 and .10 engines.
I currently have eleven of Dr. Gasuden Koken "special tuned" (modified) engines.
Gasuden Koken engines can be recognized by the special turned spinner on each engine.
Koken engines are prized engines to get "if" you are able to purchase one.
This engine I was able to purchase from Ken Enya when I ordered some Enya parts.
Below are the original photos that I received from Ken Enya.
I decided since this is the only one of these I have ever seen, I decided to clean it up and mount it for display.
How this engine was dieselize is interesting.
It is a normal Enya .10 Series #3 engine.
The changes are:
Between the crankcase and the piston cylinder are two (brass/copper?) shims that are 0.50mm (.02") thick.
The original glow head was turned inside to accept a contra piston.
The contra piston has a domed face on one side and on the other side it has a stem where the stem part slips into the compression screw where the center of the compression screw has been drilled out.
The compression screw has the same thread pitch as a glow plug and screwed into the glow plug hole.
It would be a simple change to convert it back to a glow engine by removing the two shims between the crankcase and piston cylinder and install an original OEM Enya glow head.
Everything else on the engine is original.
