Well, that was fast!!!!!!!!!

Sort of a novel...but had to be:

So, at great personal risk, and with Hornet Spray and Shop Vac Nozzle in hand, I "took back" the small storage area of my workshop.  It was a heated battle, but I somehow emerged unscathed, and now have a shop vac full of dead wasps and brown recluse spiders.

In the midst, I recovered some forgotten Stuka pieces that MIGHT be of value to someone...please closely inspect the photos so you know for sure what you're getting.

The landing gear and wing are from a later model, which had the "improved" wire-supported struts.  However, they had been bent backwards at an angle which made it impossible to land the plane without having it slide along on its nose.  The screws were rusted in place, so I couldn't remove them and straighten the wire.

So...I cut them out, with the intention of just gluing the wheel spats on like the originals.  BUT...I came across a new wing, which is now on my Stuka, and these got stuffed in a corner.  One of the wires survives and might be used as a pattern to make replacements.

The posts in the fuse' nose area are rough and will need some work.  The bellcrank has been sleeved with brass tubing, while the rudder, spats, and pushrod appear to be in good shape.

The wing arrived damaged, and has some rudimentary (which I'm sort of ashamed of) repairs made before I got the new one.

That's it...and as is often said, "Please check the photos to determine suitability."

Now, to the crux of the matter:  I'm want 60 bucks...postage in the U.S. INCLUDED.  I'll accept Paypal, Check, Money Order...
................................OR.........................
...your word of honor to donate that amount to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee...and I'll eat the shipping.

I seriously slacked on supporting the hospital last year, and am trying to make up for lost time.  They are very important to me.  I've already made a deal like this with another member, who asked to remain anonymous in order to preserve his "Grouchy Old Guy Status" but you can probably guess his identity (and thank you again!)Very Happy !

Depending on how this works out, I'll be doing more sales like this....providing I'm not taken out by a spider bite.

First P.M. get it!
Kim

Glad you found a buyer, Kim. I am sure those parts will serve the buyer well, plus keep things within the Cox community.

It is one of the few Cox RTF's that looks truly impressive in life, outdoing the others.

AGREED!!!

Not long after getting to the point that I could get my PT around the circle with no calamities, Uncle Wayne told me to take a turn at his Stuka...this was a BIG DEAL.

We were flying assorted .049 to .35-powered stunters, but the most evil model on the flightline was his Stuka, and it was supremely cool to see it out on the lines with the canopies open.

His Stuka is now a cherished item in my collection.
