How one builder made his own 100mm R/C Mitsubishi Zero
Eric @getback posted this amazing video of an under 2" (50mm) wingspan, electric motor R/C micro sport Fokker Triplane that really flies.

In the YouTube suggested related topics, found something more practical for inspiration, this interesting 10 minute video on how one ingenious builder made his own 4 inch wingspan micro radio control Zero:
How to make the micro ZERO by tyoukogatalabo
Using a hot wire foam cutter, he actually cut sheet foam from scrap molded white Styrofoam packaging material used to cradle items such as small home appliances, tools or electronics. Using a paper pattern printed on card stock, made fuselage and flying surface patterns.
Then made his own miniature magnetic actuator for rudder control.
Personally I found it fascinating, an inspiration to making one's own indoor flying model.

Hi George, Both of those are truly amazing…. I think more so because most of us here remember what RC components were like fifty years ago or more….It’s interesting to note that these ultra micro are flying like they did in the beginning…rudder only or rudder and throttle… I noticed the Zero weighed about four grams…. The lightest indoor RC I ever did was about 20 and that was very challenging….When I worked at the college I had access to their indoor sports facilities and did several RC and FF rubber projects….
I still like fiddling around with what was considered micro twenty years ago….I have a 14” Guided Mite on the bench now with an orphaned drone motor/gearbox for power….. Going to give it a go as single channel…. A little heavier wing loading for outdoor when relatively calm…. Hopefully….
