Medallion? + Die Cast engine with tank
Hello Guys,
yesterday I made some spontaneous biddings on Ebay .
The first engine looks to be a medaillon with a tank, but I don't know very much about these engines because I have only bee types yet. Maybe somebody can tell me some facts like production date and cubic capacity.
It has a gold drive washer-
Here is the Ebay link:

The other one is a die cast engine, again, I don't know much about this engines because I only own the bee type engines.
It has 0.49 and an added tank. Looks a little bit like an r/c bee but without throttle ring.
http://www.ebay.de/itm/251222544555?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649
Thank you in advance! I don't know exactly, why I bid on these two engines and hope that they aren't bad.

Re: Need to identify this engine (Please look at page 2)
Looks like you have a TD .051 case with a product engine .049 slit cylinder put on it. The other engine is a RC bee without its muffler and snap starter. The RC bee was only made in 1979.
Re: Need to identify this engine (Please look at page 2)
ok, I thought the TD was allways black (plastic venturi case). If it is 0.49 it would be fine. It is just for some handicraft work with my rc car
Is the rc bee something valuable (in case it would be complete), I only know that it was a ,,low'' performer

This is a P-40 engine I have for sale. It has 3 piece piston, large knob needle valve, small venturi and has P-40 stamped on the cylinder.

Re: Need to identify this engine (Please look at page 2)
Hi,
the 2 engines arrived yesterday. I will attach some pics soon as I have some questions. The Tee dee is really nice, I was surprised that it is so small
(Maybe it fit in my kyosho-cox car )
Regarding the RC Bee: I did not know that it is soo valuable
Yesterday was one on Ebay which reached over 50,- Europas (without the gum muffler).
Maybe it is because of only one year production. Mine is in poor condition, but the head glows and it has good compression. Is the rubber muffler available somewhere?

Re: Need to identify this engine (Please look at page 2)
It looks like a Dragonfly to me. They came with the cylinder mounted to the side, like your's is. I only have one NIB and it has the RC throttling muffler, but perhaps they supplied them with non-RC ones like your's too in the later years (when anything went together).
The red plate for the spring starter seem to be on backwards though, it should be assemble the other way around...

It looks to be a Dragonfly. Someone could have originally bought it for the throttle muffler and a regular muffler was put on in its place. There's a manual for the Dragonfly HERE!
