Yep, how'd you guess I was thinking the same thing!?nitroairplane wrote:So I suppose you'll need a tach to make sure what fuel are you running?
Does a KB have a high compression head?

No, I do not think it shipped with one.

I think it's just standard but may be slightly higher or lower than a cox one.

If you mean the bottom of the tank is above the spraybar hole, you may be flooding by gravity feed.RknRusty wrote:...The tank is slightly above the inlet on the engine. Once I get it running, it's fine until the next cold start. I'll let you know how it turns out.

I dont think so i regularly run tanks above feed level and never flood them however it may flood if it is above height AND rich.

Thanks for your interest in our S598 Hornet Starter.
The Hornet has been out of production for quite a while now due to a redesign in the starters case.
As of today I don't have an ETA, but I will keep your info on file for product updates.
regards,
Alex

I think it's about time to send another email off, to keep the fire lit. I have a Sullivan Deluxe Hi-Torque that has seen double duty for years now. They make a great product.

Do a google search, looks like there are some around that's still available. Also, Horizon Hobby is saying a December due date for the new starter from Sullivan.

Re: How fast does an electric engine starter spin?... Or... hard starting .049
Elec starters work just fine for me. Just gotta know the signs of a hydrolock condition.
Always prop it thru by hand a few times before "bumping" it with the starter.
