Brand New Ohlsson & Rice complete engine
Hi, I just leard of and joined your forum. At least 30 years ago I bought an Ohlsson & Rice engine with an intregal gas tank and rear reducer output shaft. I was going to build a powered skate board if ever I had a grandchild. Unfortunately, it was never to be and the engine sat unused, never even started, in its shipping carton. Fond as I am of it, it is time to "set it free".
The label on it states, "Model 1" which might indicate 1 H.P. Its serial number is 008452. I would like to sell it at a fair price to someone who would appreciate it and put it to good use. If someone has a very good idea of what it might be worth, I would greatly appreciate hearing from you.

Is this one of the O&R "Compact" industrial engines? Does it look like this? http://www.mytractorforum.com/showthread.php?t=221802
If so, it's not a model airplane engine, although many ended up in boats. Check Ebay to see what they're bringing. If in perfect condition with all paperwork, ask top dollar. Lots of them made, so don't expect to retire on the profit.
