In Israel, from the former National Cox distributor, we received a stash of reeds we had only, on rare occasions, seen samples of. We are now offering those for sale:

Even witha small prop - high RPM (22k +) no reed float.
Easy restarts... seem to run fine.

Probably polycarbonate. Strong stuff, You can even bend sheets in a bending break without heating it.

When the engine surges at high RPM's. This was a common problem with the old copper-beryllium reeds.
