This is the glow plug.
I want know if i can use the Standard Glow Plug with one adapter in the Cox Engine.

The clamp on type uses a special insert, the threaded type uses the same type of glow plugs as larger engines use. I have used the threaded type and found it acceptable, but I prefer stock glow heads.

If you have the equipment (lathe) you can drill and tap a glow head for 1/4-32 and make your own adapter.

Yes i have lathe and also the tool for threded in this size of 1/4-32.
Please,that is the best 'Glow Plug' for the use in the Cox.

Unfortunately Larry Driskill will only ship to overseas from USA for large orders and by personal arrangement

I personally believe the Adapter and Nelson plugs are the best (you asked)

Of course the original standard compression glow plugs are not too expensive or hard to get. The higher compression TD plugs are a bit more money

This is my favorite. I use them on most of my Cox engines.  It's made by Merlin. It is very high compression and needs at least 3 head gaskets:

Hello Guiseppe,
Please don't even think of using a standard glowplug in a drilled out Cox head. You will lose a large amount of performance and let us face it, most Cox engines are not blessed with high performance, they have all been overtaken by the march of time and development!
I use the Galbreath head adapter with the heavy duty Nelson turbo plugs. This way you get a very big performance increase! The Nelson plugs last forever. I have yet to blow one!
The Merlin head and plugs are also good, but not quite so much performance increase (it is all due to higher compression). They don't last as well as the Nelson plugs, but infinitely better than Cox glowheads.
Last time I purchased any Galbreath head adapter from Larry Driscoll there was no problem shipping overseas, maybe he has got fed up of filling in the customs declarations!

Thanks for updating my take on Larry Driscoll's web site. Guiseppe, the Nelson plugs are available from M B Schuettes as well (Spelling?) He has a web site that is called MBS Model supplies. He certainly does the nelson heavy duty plugs and may well do the Galbreath adapter heads. from memory the plugs are a little over $4 and the adapter heads were a little over $12.
Re reading my reply. I was a little harsh on the Merlin plugs and heads. I use both and I have had a couple of plugs blow (after much use!). I believe that Merlin still has a deal available which is 3 plugs and an adapter head for around $13.All prices plus postage.
Both conversions gain power by reducing the head volume compared with a standard Cox head (and for that matter even a TD head!). You may well have to decompress the engine by adding anything up to 3 head gaskets. So order a bunch from Bernie.
I just ge.t a feel for the right amount of head gaskets, difficult to explain, maybe someone can explain the technique better than I can?
