Thinking Red Backplate from Cox Int'l

Post  batjac Mon Sep 09, 2013 8:37 pm

Does the red backplate below have the same venturi diameter and profile as the Killer Bee backplate?  It says Killer Bee in the applications section, but just thought that I'd ask those in the know if it really has the same dimensions.

As I understand it the color is to differentiate the KB .051, red, from the KB .049, black. Same venturi.

Rusty did mention the venturi was the same. Any Horse shoe backplate can be drilled out to the same diameter or more. So if you have one laying around you can just press out the needle and go at it with the drill. You can go as large as you want as long as you don't drill into the sealing surface of the reed.

That is a Cox manufactured Killer Bee .051 backplate. Bernie is not having those reproduced.
