It wasn't stock, Eagles didn't have low range. They had a vacuum actuated transfer case from 2wd to 4wd. I was planning on restoring/moding mine but didn't have the time or money when the engine blew. On top of that, parts then were getting extremely hard to find... ~10 years ago.

I can relate to that Travis! I checked out a 1989 Jeep Wrangler down the street from me... at a "yard sale" last weekend. Another guy with a newer Wrangler had stopped to look too. This one had a 360 cu. in. V8/auto. transfer-case conversion from a Cherokee, done right; with all the needed frame supports. He's asking $3000.00

Yes, you had posted that vid a few weeks ago... I thought it was very cool! It's been 10 years since I've been off-roading. I have a 2005 Chevy Trailblazer (5 passenger), but I wouldn't even think of taking it where a "CJ/Wrangler" would go... plus it's stock height and has running boards.

The little two door hatchback was called a S/X4, I sold AMC cars briefly when i first got out of the Navy.

Cool photo of AMX/3 never seen that before.

I gotta say of all the pony cars the early AMX was one of the best looking, close second to '65-'69 fastback 'stangs.

Admin, check out that antenna KSTP, KOMA & WLS...clear as a bell in evenings from western Nebraska, c. 1974!

This was my second car, could easily bury the speedo with room to spare, with 394 V-8 and bald, rotted snow tires!

Cool history on the Brutsch Co. Less than 90 cars were built... yet 11 different models produced... most using "Fichtel & Sachs" engines... but the 1958 4-wheel/4 speed V2-N had a "Fiat 500" (479cc) engine with a top speed of 84 mph!!!
