Re: TD twin on eBay
Nice way to waste a couple of perfectly good Tee Dees.

Re: TD twin on eBay
I think this was part of a lot of "twin" engines that was on ebay a month or two ago.

Re: TD twin on eBay
Look closely as the side of the engines. There's a bar(thin aluminum sheet maybe?) that is connecting the lugs of each engine. Holding them together maybe?Cribbs74 wrote:What is that screw in the mounting lug for?
There's possibly one good TD there. Depending on how the crank was made. Maybe two if they aren't even connected.

Re: TD twin on eBay
Why do people post things up for sale without enough pics. It still has the problem of running two pistons on one crank, does it work and how was it done....
Re: TD twin on eBay
To scam you. I honestly can't imagine how it would work.WingingIt74 wrote:Why do people post things up for sale without enough pics. It still has the problem of running two pistons on one crank, does it work and how was it done....

Re: TD twin on eBay
It would probably work if the crankshafts were timed correctly. As in both engines fired at the same time. I am assuming the rear engines crank is "keyed" into the crank of the front engine.
Still though, is it worth it? Maybe to some.

Shoot even fake twin .049s go for a lot of $$$$ I should start making some and throw them on ebay
Re: TD twin on eBay
In the description it says they don't fire at the same time.

Re: TD twin on eBay
You are correct! Didn't see that. Seeing as it doesn't share a common crankcase it would work if it was 180 degrees out.

"c'mon guys... it's all about ball-bearings now-a-days... now, go and get me some gauze-pads and anti-freeze; so I can prepare that Phetzer-valve.......... make that Prestone"... (Chevy Chase-as "Fletch")
Re: TD twin on eBay
Hey... I just thought of an idea. How about doing a twin with a friction 1-way bearing. These are commonly used in RC Helicopters
Re: TD twin on eBay
I think I could make one that looks like that with nothing but a hammer.
Hah! I kill me.

I get the credit for mentioning "ball-bearings".......... "What do you mean; I've exceeded my credit limit?"WingingIt74 wrote:Hey... I just thought of an idea. How about doing a twin with a friction 1-way bearing. These are commonly used in RC Helicopters
