This is one of the later incarnations of the Super Fury made in the 1970s. There was a later one produced in 1980 before the demise and wind down of ED. EDs were manufactured about 5 miles from where I live.

That's an interesting prop-nut and drive-plate... Was this a multi-purpose engine?

It was originally developed as an 1/2 A (European 1/2 A) diesel Team Race engine. The first version was produced in 1965.
