[solved]Medallion 09 Propdriver removal? Empty [solved]Medallion 09 Propdriver removal?

Now I've found the bits I need, can anyone tell me the correct way to remove a Medallion .09 propdriver and fit a new one? I've seen tools available to do it on 049s, but I'm sure they won't fit an 09!

No, I've seen that, that's replacing a broken crankshaft, I need to know how to pull the old propdriver off with the crankshaft in situ. On the 049 I know you can fit a propscrew then use it to gently tap the shaft backwards (Having removed the piston, of course) but the 09 has a "Stepped" propdriver and you can't see the end of the shaft, so I need to know if you can do it the same way.

Oh yes i believe you can.
But on 2 engine with bad drive plates i used the tool for cutting wires (the name has escaped me)to pul it off at the case.
But i cannot recommend it because if not done with caution you will damage the engine.

The tool that you used was mostly a pair of diagonal cutting pliers a.k.a. "dikes"

I did think of that, or possibly levering with a pair of thin screwdrivers, but quickly dismissed both ideas!

Maybe.
It is possible to do but if done wrong you will foul the case/collet/crank.

I just posted this in the other thread. The Medallion instructions say to use the engine tool to unscrew the carb retaining collett and it will push off the drive plate. It's on every .049 tool. It's a 1 toothed cutout in the middle of the Cox wrench. It works great on Tee Dees too.
