Sorry guys - More "From this to this"
My new best friend.
The OS Max was a toss in, not a bad engine. Both missing needle valve assemblies. I had one for the Enya, looking for one for the OS.
The Enya has a chunk missing out of the exhaust duct. I think I can fix it with some JB Weld if carefully done. It has great compression and internally shows little wear. Introduced in 1953 as the model 4002 and replaced in 1955 as the model 4003.

If cip means patina, it will gain it back eventually.
I intend on running this thing.

Repairing the chip will cause more trouble than it is worth, especially if you plan to run it.... Well, maybe if you can weld it. Just make sure there are no corners in the chip, only rounds, and leave it alone.

Yes, I would run it before a repair, then display. It is an early design with the "Made in Japan" cast into a bearer and it features the "Airfoil" design of the exhaust outlet.
There is another epoxy product similar to JB Weld that comes in a tube known as Quik Steel that would work. But it cures as a darker color than JB and does not flow like JB. JB would cure to a color that would closely resemble the Enya.
The above pictures give a chance to compare Japan's two principle model engine manufacturers. Both are superior to most competitors of that era in my opinion.

You might try Alumiweld. Here is their site showing how to use it: http://alumiweld.com/h2uaw.html
If you do use it, be sure to practice on something else until you get the process right. Good luck.
