Early Enya .06 reed valve

Not yet, I just got them yesterday. I took a chance and bought it as the seller said that it needed repairs. But all it needed was that "C" type clip to hold the "throttle body" on.

My other Enya .049 also is NIB and I didn't want to run it. But I'm curious as to how that "throttle" performs. Unlike normal carburetors where the spray bar is located right in the carburetor this one is located in a cavity in front of the adjustable venturi.

I will try to run the .06 but my parts guy (Bob Brooks) tells me that you can't find that reed, so I will be real careful if I do.

That cleaned up nice. What do you clean your engines with?

Thanks for posting those pictures gwillie, I will have to find those mounts. There are slight differences between the .06's. The cylinder on mine is "thin wall" construction, maybe because it's gas not diesel.



Different mounting structures too between the capacities. From two hole to three hole to four hole.





And Steve, I just used warm Simple Green and a tooth brush after disassembly. This one was not to badly soiled with cooked on castor, just surface dirt. On really dirty examples I boil them in a crock pot filled with anti freeze, an accepted method in the community.
