It's the guys Web site, interesting read. I found it doing some research for some 1:43 Cox track ( turned out to be a Eldon) and found it interesting he had a hand in the delevopment of later of some later projects.

Yes, very interesting indeed. He claims the first use of chassis magnets on a slot-car. I wonder if Aurora bought his patent when they started to develop their Magna-Traction cars? Are you planning on building a 1:43 scale layout? I would be very interested in that because I recently measured how much space I would need for a small HO figure-8. I have some Aurora track, AFX cars.. and one T-jet. A coffee-tabletop raceway would be fun.. and easily stored under a bed. I work with a guy who is a serious HO-scale slot collector. He has over a thousand cars.. and many of those are original T-Jets.

For someone I'd never heard of until today, Philippe is more than "some French guy" who worked for Cox!!  For some very intersting reading on a Sunday morning, follow the links to his metal toy collection pages or read his story on building a unbeatable motorcycle from dumpster parts! Quite a collection of real FULL size race cars, too. It's no wonder that the Cox Co hired him to re-invent the slot car and design some airplanes. Seems to have had a very intresting career.     Thanks to whoever posted the linc!!
