Nice! I like those pylon style models too. Are you going free flight or radio assist?

Hi José, looking forward to the build. Will you install a timer?

Re: Caravan 1/2 A
Thanks for your comments friends.
Yes, I also love very much "free flight" over all categories.
I think is a pure art. Trimming airplane to circling thermals.
But today at XXI Century better radio-assisted because here there are many trees roads and railway close.
But normally I don´t touch transmiter during the flight but is to bring him or avoid an accident.
I just enjoy seeing flies free lying on the floor.
We have several vintage motorgliders.
Two super high pylon wing "Timer´s Nightmares" of Frank Ehling

The "Frisco Kid" of John Tatone very similar to this Caravan.

And "Engendrus" a personal design home-made with recycled free fligh gliders parts and powered Tee dee .020.

Re: Caravan 1/2 A
I want to buid the Caravan strongest than Frisco and Nightmare, they are very light and low weight for quite weather, and I want the Caravan for fligh in all conditions.
If .049 it is not enaugh power to clim higher and fast, I could mount a big engne OK .074 with auxiliar tank into the fuse and Tatone timer to cut fuel to practice vertical takeoff "V-tol".
Now assembling the fuselage, note the top and bottom veneer with cross grain to improve the torsional strength and two steel wires 1/32" diameter transmission for rudder and elevator.

Horizontal stabilizer
Thank you for your comments. I'm glad you like it, someone knows the name of the designer ???
I choose vivid, bright and colorful and above all visible colors height, flourescent is the most visible.
High visibility can make the difference between seeing or not seeing it.
Although I have built a larger elevator to desthermalizer tilting 45 degrees with servo.

Babe bee .049
I mount this Babe bee .049, it has a shim at botom cylinder, I think to remember it was to modify timming to use larger props ?
Anyone can confirm it to me?
At first, I mount this plastic yellow 6x3 " ... if don´t pull enough ... I can change by grey 7x3,5" to increase thrust.
If it is not plenty power ... I will mount this Tee dee .049

Re: Caravan 1/2 A
I'm not sure how I feel about the checkerboard fuselage... Then again it is YOUR plane. In any case that is a good looking plane.
Nicely done!

That's a fantastic video José: innocent beginning followed by suspense and a happy end ; all with dramatic Wagner!!
Glad you found the plane back.

It does teach us a lesson. Don't assume that you remembered everything. Always do a pre-flight check of your controls.
