Who knows about Cipolla .049
Who knows about Cipolla .049 engines? I have one used that I want to sell. Are they desirable and what are they worth. Mine is in great condition with tons of compression. Thanks for the help in advanced.

Re: Who knows about Cipolla .049
Are you sure it is 049?
This was Cipollas flagship also known as the "Italian Bee". I am not aware of an 049 version though - only an 049 diesel.
Value? No idea! I got this one for £36 in 2013. But this one - as you can see - is new in box with original papers.
Unfortunately, the version you have the link to has a modified needle head and removes it from the collectors realm.
I had a used one before this and restored it to pristine but not perfect but I swapped it for two DC Wasps that needed TLC.
I can't really help on value - I have seen too many extraordinary events on Fleabay to predict anything recently and the value of rare but used engines has fallen recently.

Reggie.
I have no idea of a value but would be interested in being added to your list when you come up with a $ figure that you're after. Just something a little different for the collection. I currently don't have any Italian engines.

I had one I got with a Hacker models kit. Quite unspectacular :-) It sold for about $30 or so.

Ian, thanks for the help. I had no idea of the displacement on it. Comparing to a Cox 049, the piston is bigger. I also just removed the nut and solder from the needle valve and it looks stock now.
