Another model ready for the flying season
I got my Li'l Satan finished over the holiday. Power is a SureStart (the model is so much a winged engine I don't want TOO much speed!) and I'll try it on a 5 x 3 prop to start with.
I've always thought that the Li'l Satan decals are really amateurish, especially the "Face", which looks as if a child drew it! so I've made my own up, using a combination of the Jnr Satan and a piece of clipart I found

Not sure yet, be a case of experimentation, I'll probably try about 35' to start

Nice one, you'll love the way it flies. Is that a 3/8 oz wedge tank you've got in that wing? I might have to try that on mine and switch from the Black Widow to a Killer Bee. Anything to shorten the nose has to be good. 35' works for me. It's light as a feather so you don't want them too long. When it runs out of gas it's like landing a butterfly.

Great looking plane. I've always thought using natural covering with colored trim makes for a nice looking color scheme.

It could well be, I just searched the clipart sites until I found something I liked!

Thanks Andrew, I usually use that combination to keep the weight down. Most of my models use traditional covering materials, tissue/nylon/silk/dope in some combination, I don't like iron-on coverings on smaller models.
