Parts for RR-1

Parts for RR-1
I’m just wondering, has anyone seen a replacement crankshaft for a RR-1? Do they exist or are the virtually unavailable??
Anyone want to estimate value of a RR-1 with a broken crank and hole in the tank? It is in a lot of 12 engines for sale at $150 as a group. Now, having asked for, and received, better close up view pictures of the “blue engine”, the seller wants me to “make an offer” on this rare rotary engine! But, he was honest enough to inform me the crank is broken.

Re: Parts for RR-1
I wonder if there is a way for one of our gifted machinists to take one of Matt n' Bernie's "Killer Cranks" and affix a pin into the hole of the crankpin so that it could be used in RR-1's with broken or missing cranks.
I'm not sure on the actual value. The backplate, tank bowl, rotary valve and crankcase are unique to the engine, so if those parts are still usable, they can be quite valuable.

It can be done easily enough, but would be best to fit a pin prior to hardening the crankshafts. During the next run I will set some aside before hardening in case anyone is interested.

I bet if you turn a pin that is snug that fits in the crank pin hole and use retaining compound to hold it in it may work. Press fit into a hardned crank pin would probably split the pin.

RR-1 crank shaft
Hi There,
Well if you don't find one, I have a complete RR-1 crankcase assembly for sale for US$55.00 all in...(crankshaft is new, c/case isn't). I can send a photo if you wish.
Good Luck!
Cheers,
