no kidding... I've been miserable over the last week or so. I bought some missile.. err "nasal-mist" yesterday.. along with a 24hr./non-drowsy OTC allergy med. and some eye-drops. My "cocktail" for dealing with seasonal allergies. No sense in suffering through it.. if I can get relief. Some meds don't work for some people though. It takes some experimentation. The brand names "Claritin" and "Allegra" are two different allergy meds. I recently found that Allegra or its generic works much better for me than the Claritin does.
These are the generic Walmart-brands that I bought. They're significantly less $$$ than the name-brand meds. @ $20.03 (includes RI 7% sales tax) and should last most of the season.

Speaking of allergies, I learned something a couple years ago during dieting to lose weight. I am allergic to wheat. I have a strong allergy to all grasses. Allergy testing verified what I had suspected for a long time. This included all the grasses on the test, Rye, Bermuda, Fescue, Blue Grass, etc. I learned that farmers here plant Winter Wheat in fields for cattle grazing and to prevent soil erosion until Spring. (We have 18 dairy farms around Clovis, why the Cannon Air Force Base airmen love Clovis! Here's a video several airmen made of the town before they transferred out.)
I got to see what Winter Wheat looked like at a motocross meet where I was flagging. It was the motocross course owner who told me he planted it on the course to cut down erosion. Wheat is a grass!
For periods since that I have not been partaking in wheat, my allergies are not as bad as they were when I was eating it daily (bread, baked goods, breakfast cereal, pasta, stews (used as thickener), etc. The wheat along with soy and a few other food allergens I have act as an allergy amplifier! Now, I no longer get the intense allergy head aches I used to get.
Many diets now in starting eliminate 1) gluten (wheat), 2) dairy, 3) eggs, 4) soy, 5) corn, 6) peanuts, 7) sugar & artificial sweeteners.
I don't have problems with dairy, eggs, corn. The rest I do. Peanuts, I can tolerate if I space it out once every 4 days.
