Never would have thought it was the same plane. Looks great.
What did you do to strip the paint off, or did you just go over top? I had a beat up P-51 before that I soaked in brake fluid for a while and it just ate the paint right off.

Magnificent job of restoration. I had the same plane as a kid. after I pranged it, I set it aside intending to rebuild it. I enlisted in the Air Force, and my mother got rid of my planes, thinking that since I work on real ones that I wouldn't need them any more. Wish I could go back in time and fetch them, LOL
