While I fly with a red plastic CG handle remember that they are old enough to have become brittle to the point of being breakable. This is largely due to UV rays from the sun.
The one that I have I've had since new and it has always been kept in my flight box out of the sun except when in actual use. Be advised that one that you might buy may not have been treated so kindly.

Great Rusty thanks! Be glad to pay for shipping or buy it off you.
Good point Dave, I am sure Rusty has taken care of his.
Plus they are more stout than the Cox version. Either way I'll keep my eyes open for stress cracks.
