Believe it or not, the Copeland Skyray will fly again.
Remember the Copeland Skyray wreck? Look closely, there's an almost whole fuselage in there.
Remember the old plane I call the Clownlikething? A Watt Moore build that was black with a silver wing?
Anyway, the tail is the only part besides the wing that broke. I just so happened to be so worried about the tail feathers falling apart before the May contest, I cut new ones. So, that can be fixed easy enough. Turns out the old Clownlikething, who's fuse is trash has a Skyray wing. I measured and confirmed it tonight. The controls are stiff, but I can do surgery. And the wing might be heavier. Or maybe not if I re-cover it. I might get the old dirtybird back in the air after all. After looking at the remains, as bad as that picture looks, I'm encouraged. That's a helluva turnaround from what I reported last Sunday night.
