I have posted about these before.

Babe Bees etc. are easy.  Just drill a couple of holes and screw them on,

Display stands Silver10

TD's Medallions not so easy.  But I found these mineral display stands that might work, just have to modify the forward post by cutting it down a little.  One inch spacing between the two back posts allow them to rest on the bearers and provide easy removal.

I still keep an inventory of all my engines, but I write in fine Sharpie on the bottoms relevant information, date received, price paid etc.

Saves me building these.

RSV, Your hint on the rock stands was great.   That's now how most of my half As are now mounted.  For beam mounted engines I use nylon bolts and nuts..  You cam trim them so your engines sit at the same angle.  Toe nail clippers work fine.  Being nylon, they don't Mark your engine.  And they are cheap!Display stands Img_9511

I love that old Fox. Haven’t been able to get my hands on those early 4 bolt sandcast ones.

That's so simple Bill that it borders on genius. Smile

Love the display case, my daughter has one very similar. Wonder if I could talk her out of it. Smile I don't think so.

I see a lot of Fox engines there, one in particular second row down slightly left of center. Looks like one I sold on ebay some 15 years ago. Could it be................

More trouble than they are worth.

Just an update on my three leg plastic mineral stands (above).

They work, but you have to widen the back legs and modify the front. Pretty easy by screwing on a #3 nut and sliding on a washer and cutting off the excess. Ok for my few TD's and Medallions, but a hassle to do more.

I like Bill's way, simple, cost effective and they should work on any beam mounted engine.

Hi Robert.. and "Happy Holidays"! Will that dieselized Cox Medallion .049 run? I've been wondering how you made out with that engine. I can imagine that engine (in good health) swinging a 8" wood propeller on any 1/2A size biplane.

Your PT-17 perhaps..?

Matt (EXModel Engines) offers a radial-mount.. and probably Cox international does too.

No batteries.. no glow-clip wires..   Huh...   I need to try running a diesel someday..

Here is one I designed for the TD .049/.051 and 3D printed. It clamps one side of mounting lug tight without marring any surface of the engine. I have one with the Cox logo out the side and one with it just on the center underneath for a smaller footprint. Only takes about 40 minutes to print one. Display stands D04bde10

Beautiful Jason, you have become an artist with that 3D printer. Love it.

I would have to go to MECOA and buy one of those heads roddie, the one pictured is toast. Still might, probably will just to see how they work. I did get a OK Cub diesel a couple of weeks back, yet to find the time to test it yet.

Added .09 and .15 stands. These are plain without logo and take up less shelf room. Printed out of clear PETG.

No screws needed TD .010 with tank stand. The tank rim fits in a groove in the plastic.

Need to scale it up for the TD .020.

Made some slight tweaks. Shortened the base so the prop can be rotated on the stand. Added a raised Cox logo and painted the top so the logo stands out.

Yes, forgot to answer your question. Picture was taken by my son at the antique shop where he bought it. Just look at those struts, top wing would have separated had I ever flown it like that.

So you couldn't find pins small enough, so you printed your own?  Those must be #2 size and that's pretty small.

Probably the nicest I have seen to date. Good job, love the pins.

You are going to wear that printer out making mounts for all those TD .010’s.

Can print in any color PLA or PETG filament that’s available. I have been doing some in gold and gun metal silver.

Here is the gold version TD stand.
