Atwood Wasp thread size
Does anyone know what the thread size is for the Atwood Wasp .049 prop screw?
Re: Atwood Wasp thread size
I checked my Wasp engines and get 5-40 like the Cox .049 .The Atwood measures 8-32 . They don't say Atwood Wasp just Atwood or Wasp . No other markings except .049 . Hope this helps ...

Re: Atwood Wasp thread size
Thanks Mike and it seems there exists an Atwood Wasp engine, such as this one: http://sceptreflight.com/Model%20Engine%20Tests/Atwood%20Wasp.html whereas that engine seems to have the prop-screw as part of the crank. We will clarify with the customer.
Re: Atwood Wasp thread size
Indeed, the threads are just like a Space Bug's-- part of the shaft. Ditto for first versions of Wen-Macs.

Re: Atwood Wasp thread size
The Wasp was a joint effort between Bill Atwood and Bob Holland , ( Holland Hornet guy ) . The two went their own ways and Bob continued with the Wasp and Bill the Atwood series of engines . Yes the cranks are threaded on the ends on both engines .
