Man, you guys have some nice rides. I inherited a 69 Chevelle SS from my Dad. It was white with a black vinyl roof til I got hold of it. It was more car than I needed at that time in my life. I graduated to it from a 67 Nova SS with a 283 and a Powerglide tranny.
The Chevelle was comparatively a monster.
Unfortunately it had an automatic. Fortunately the automatic was a Turbo 400.

No. An Audi Fox turned left in front of me in an intersection in Atlanta and I t-boned him. I used the insurance money to buy a black '67 Camaro SS with a nicely built 4 bolt 350, and a cowl induction hood, and my first Muncie 4 speed. An m-20. My next Muncie in the white race car was an m-22 Rock Crusher. That's the same engine above that I later rebuilt for the white Camaro race car. I sold that one when I got married and had a child. I then got a Ford Escort station wagon. And another one. Somewhere in there was a stock 70 Camaro RS with very little guts. Got rid of it when Al came along too.

Looks a lot like a tall insert type head clamp. Maybe the article is more specific.

I was lucky to have met Bob Gialdini (see '65 NATS Stunt) years ago when i was flying stunt...we mostly talked about sailboats. He lived somewhere around Milwaukee area, pretty nice guy, he gave my kid a .15 size Sig Twister for him to fly when he got older, we never flew it...yet.

I was common practice to turn the cylinder fins and glowhead down to help retain heat, due to the high nitro fuel they were running, more fuel could burn allowing it to run cooler.

'Cause it's sort of old, I guess. Nice rumble, Reptile. Now they all have aluminum blocks and sound like crap no matter how much power. I had one of that generation, but it was a Rally Sport. But I have had two '67 Camaros, a '69, and a '69 Chevelle SS with a big block.

Thanks I put a ZZ4 GM crate motor in it.
And a full pypes exhaust with X flow unit.

Had my scanner cranked up again and going through my latest batch of old magazines. Saw this fellow's novel modification that emulates the other inline cylinder engine whose ad I can't find at the moment (think it was called an Arrow). This with a home-made gearbox.
